The TxDOT Spur 399 extension project is a massive, roughly $1 billion initiative in Collin County (McKinney) to build an eight-lane freeway loop connecting US 75 to US 380 around the east side of McKinney National Airport.
Spur 399 is classified as a freeway from its current terminus near the junction of US 75/SRT-SH 121 along the Common Alignment. From the end of the Common Alignment, SPUR 399 would continue east on new location crossing Airport Drive/Old Mill Road and continuing further east and south around the southern end of the Airport, then turning north near CR 317 to connect to US 380. As the alignment continues, frontage and main lanes would be added until its terminus at US 380.
